1 killed,6 injured as vehicles collide in Kaziranga

KAZIRANGA: One person was killed while six others were severely injured after a head-on collision between two four-wheelers at Geleki in Kaziranga on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Gyandeep Santal, a leader of the All Santhal Students Union.

According to reports, the head-on collision occurred between a Maruti 800 and TATA Sumo.

All six injured persons were rushed to the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) in critical condition.

A few days ago, at least three people had died on the spot in a road mishap when a four-wheeler skidded from the road and collided with a stump in Haldhibari near Kaziranga.

They were identified as Konkoshen Das, a resident of Nalbari, Biren Singha from Karbi Anglong, and Fulen Barman.
