15 Arunachal districts to have no internet access on Nov 1. Here's why

Itanagar: The internet services in 15 districts of Arunachal Pradesh will be suspended during the APPSCCE prelims (Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination) which is scheduled for November 1.

The Home Commissioner Kaling Tayeng issued an order stating that the internet service will be suspended in Tawang, West Kameng, East Kameng, West Siang, Leparada, East Siang, Upper Siang, Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit, Tirap, Changlang, Itanagar Capital Region and Papum Pare districts from 8 am to 12 noon, and from 12 noon to 4 pm on 1 November.

The commissioner informed that the decision has been taken to prevent the transmission of information through telecom services during the examination hours.

The order has been issued at the request of the Arunachal Pradesh service commission.
