17 more deaths, 1792 new COVID-19 cases reported in Assam

COVID-19 continues to take lives in the Assam. On Friday, the deadly disease claimed the lives of another 17 people across the state.

The deceased persons belong to different places of the state including Sivasagar, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Darrang, Kamrup Metro, Golaghat, Jorhat and Goalpara.

These deaths take the cumulative toll in the state to 625.

Meanwhile, the state posted 1792 fresh COVID-19 cases. The cases were detected out of 28245 tests.
