Assam: 18 more dies of COVID-19, tally crosses 400 mark

Assam on Thursday registered 18 more COVID-19 related deaths. The state’s death tally has crossed 400 with 414 fatalities.

Assam Health & Family Welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Very sad and anguished to inform that 18 more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to the disease.”

Out of the 18 deaths, two each were reported in Lakhimpur, Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Rural, Golaghat, Jorhat, Hailakandi, followed by one each in Charaideo, Baksa, Orang, Dibrugarh, Cachar and Barpeta.

The deceased are Ranjit Gogoi (49) of Charaideo, Horihor Kalita (65) of Lakhimpur, Debabala Hazarika (72) of Lakhimpur, Rajen Hazarika (64) of Kamrup Metro, Dhaneswar Thakuria (78) of Kamrup Rural, Minaram Bora (72) of Baksa, Bijoy Deka (74) of Kamrup Metro, Chandrakanta Barman (60) of Kamrup Rural, Shreya Ghosh (14) of Nagaon, Gitanjali Bora (45) of Golaghat, Anu Hazarika (63) of Jorhat, Rebo Orang (61) of Golaghat, Gopal Borthakur (78) of Jorhat, Krishna Mohan Das (62) of Hailakandi, Pradip Kumar Roy (60) of Hailakandi, Rina Pathak (55) of Cachar, Gajen Das (55) of Barpeta and Sanjib Phukan (53) of Dibrugarh.
