KOKRAJHAR: A group of around 32 cadres of the National Liberation Front of Bodoland (NLFB) has reached Jharbari of Kokrajhar district of Assam to lay down arms. The cadres are coming out of the deep jungle of Assam- Bhutan Border today morning.
Talking to reporters, a former cadre of the outfit said, “Right now around 30 cadres will be coming along with B Harfar . He is the Platoon Commander of the area. We had entrusted him to see the Indo-Bhutan border. They will be coming with arms.”
On July 22, a total of 23 cadres had laid down arms along with its Chief M Batha.
Huge number of villagers have been seen lined up with water bottles and flowers to welcome the cadres. Many former cadres of NLFB have also been seen waiting to welcome their former colleagues to the mainstream.
The cadres will be taken to a designated camp of the outfit with police protection.
