GUWAHATI: As many as 70 organisations, which have been working together since 2018 with Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti and came together to form Raijor Dal last year, have withdrawn their support from the party just a day before by-election dates were announced.

The leaders of the 70 organisations have blamed the top brass of the political party for their "autocratic nature and political immaturity" and rolled back their support from it.

Organisations have also accused Raijor Dal of lack of democracy, anti-regionalism deeds and internal rivalries due to which the political outfit has supposedly lost its faith from the public in no time.

"Forgetting about their social responsibilities now Raijor Dal works like a private limited company to satisfy a specific section on people's interest," said the organisations.

The organisations have also expressed dissatisfaction over inducting AAMSU leaders in the party as well.

It was also mentioned that Raijor Dal leaders never discussed any party-related issues since their loss in the last assembly poll.

On the other hand, Raijor Dal Working President Bhasco De Saikia has welcomed the rollback the decision of 70 organisations holding a press meet last evening.

"None of the organisations were active in politics and party activities for a long time. Few of their members were involved in anti-party activities as well and supposed to get suspended any time sooner," said Saikia,

Saikia also added that some self-proclaimed groups have withdrawn their support from Raijor Dal and their allegations against Raijor Dal are baseless as well.
