71 more COVID-19 deaths reported in Assam in 24 hours, death toll reaches 1909
GUWAHATI: In the past 24 hours as many as 71 people infected with COVID-19 had died in Assam, taking the death toll to 1909.
On the other hand, Assam’s COVID-19 tally rose to 3,10,086, with 5,657 new cases being reported during the period.
The 5,657 new positive cases included 1,456 from Kamrup (M), 460 from Kamrup (R), 381 from Dibrugarh district.
The state currently has 40,970 active COVID-19 cases.
During the period, 3,880 people recovered from the disease taking the total number of recoveries to 2,65,860.
The positivity rate stood at 8.85% %.
The recovery rate now stands at 85.74%
On the other hand, 1,347 more COVID-19 patients have died for other reasons so far in the state.
Altogether 63,956 samples were tested for COVID-19 today, taking the total number of such tests to 92,81,466.
On the other hand, a total of 38,591 people have received the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday.
