GUWAHATI: Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika has reached the Gorukhuti area, for the first time after a clash between Assam Police and villagers on Thursday turned bloody, today to take stock of the ongoing community farming project in order to employ 500 indigenous youths.

On asked, Pijush Hazarika responded to All Assam Minority Student Union's (AAMSU) allegations on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of launching such violence and said, "We all know with whom AAMSU has connections. They have nexus with PFI, their members support the Taliban and Pakistan, are these even new things? Anti-national forces have always been there with AAMSU."

"CM had already held dialogues with AAMSU earlier. We have been saying for months that no democratically elected government will leave their government land for illegal occupation. Yet on a humanity ground, the government asserted to provide land to villagers settled here illegally and asked them to leave. As far as I know, the villagers have agreed too. But some miscreants motivated them and misled and due to which 5,000 mob of villagers tried to attack 250 police personnel."
