AJP releases final list of candidates; find who's from where

GUWAHATI: The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) today nominated former All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) leader Prince Faizul Haque as its Dispur candidate for the Assam assembly elections.

A day ahead of last date for filing nominations for the last phase of polling scheduled for April 6, the new regional party today released a list of 17 candidates for seats from central and Lower Assam.

The other candidates named include:

1. Mehbur Rahman Borbhuyan - Borkhola

2. Atiqur Rahman - Golakganj

3. Anis Ahmed - Bilasipara West
