Kaithal, October 10, 2019:

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has resolved to evict all illegal immigrants in India ahead of the 2024 polls in the country. Shah announced this during a rally held in Haryana's Kathal district on Wednesday.

Shah said that the ruling BJP administration would implement the NRC, and throw each and every illegal immigrant outside the country. "In 2024, we will come to ask for your votes again. However, we promise to deport every single illegal immigrant country from the country before that happens." Earlier, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had promised to implement the NRC in the State soon.

It may be mentioned here that Shah had also promised to deport every single illegal immigrant ahead of the 2019 election, which the BJP managed to win with a thumping majority.

Amit Shah has, time and again, raised the demand to implement a nationwide NRC to weed out illegal immigrants. Recently, during a rally in Trinamool Congress ruled West Bengal, Shah affirmed that the NRC will be implemented soon in Bengal, as well as other parts of the country.

It may be mentioned that more than nineteen lakh people have been declared 'stateless' after the final NRC draft that was declared on August 31. These people will now have to prove their citizenship at the Foreigners' Tribunals scattered across the state of Assam.
