A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in the rural outskirts of Kaliabor as a massive King Cobra, affectionately named "Fenty Snake Dal," was saved from peril inside an abandoned well. The heroic act was performed by Sanjeev Deka, a young resident of Shilghat, who discovered the majestic serpent trapped within the confines of an abandoned hut in The Karibakari of Jakhalabandha.

Promptly responding to the urgent situation, Deka courageously ventured into the abandoned hut, where he found the imposing King Cobra coiled in distress. With quick thinking and steady nerves, Deka successfully rescued the snake from its precarious predicament, ensuring its safety and well-being.

Following the daring rescue, Deka collaborated with the local forest department to facilitate the release of the King Cobra back into its natural habitat. Accompanied by forest officials, the majestic serpent, measuring approximately 8 feet in length, was safely relocated to the reserve forest area of Shilghat, where it could roam freely without posing a threat to human habitation.

The successful rescue and relocation of the King Cobra exemplify the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in preserving the delicate balance between human settlements and wildlife habitats. Deka's selfless act of bravery serves as a testament to the inherent bond between humans and nature, as well as the shared responsibility to protect and conserve the diverse ecosystems that enrich our surroundings.

As the King Cobra slithers back into the wilderness of Shilghat, its triumphant liberation marks a triumph for wildlife conservation efforts in Assam, inspiring hope for a harmonious coexistence between humans and the natural world.
