Army distributes stationery items to children, conducts meet on organ donation

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 14, 2018:

Red Horns Division of the Indian Army distributed stationery items to primary children of at Saralpara LP School in Kokrajhar district on Sunday.

Keeping in line with development of rural areas as well as overall socio economic development of the region, the unit has also been involved in other projects like repair of infrastructure.

Meanwhile, an organ donation awareness drive was also organised by Red Horns Division at Jharbari High School in Kokrajhar on Monday.

The camp was attended by over 200 people, including comprising village elders, students and ex-servicemen and other locals.

A demonstration about organ donation and its procedure was given by army doctors in the camp. A comprehensive medical check-up was also done on the local population, who were also given treatment for various ailments.
