Armyman shot dead by gunmen in Kashmir’s Pulwama

Guwahati, March 13, 2019:

An Indian Armed Forces personnel Sajad Ahmad Naikoo was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at his home in Pinglish village of Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the same district where 49 CRPF jawans were martyred during a suicide bombing carried out by Jaish-e-Mohammed.

According to reports, unidentified gunmen barged into the residence of Naikoo (alias Ashiq), army personnel, at Pinglish and fired bullets at him. He died on the spot.

Ashiq, a former Special Police Officer in Jammu and Kashmir police had joined the army recently and was posted in Srinagar. He was 25.
