ARUNACHAL PRADESH: APCC SLAMS STATE GOVERNMENT FOR TURNING INTO RAPE STATE

The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) criticized the State Government for alleged deteriorating law and order situation in the State which led to the increasing incidents of crimes against minor girls and women.

A minor girl from Mebo circle was raped on the morning of July 10 when she was alone at home watching television. Her parents were in their paddy field at the time of the incident.

Slamming the State Government over the incident, the APCC alleged “The Pema Khandu-led BJP Government does not work for the people of the State. Under Khandu’s leadership, the State has turned into Balatkari Pradesh. Ever since the BJP government took charge the number of anti-social elements has increased and there has been a growth in the number of rape cases, murder, mob-lynching, gun culture, theft etc. This makes the BJP government play the role of a mute spectator, rejoicing the misery of the common people”. Further, the party demanded swift justice for the minor victim girl.
