Arunachal Pradesh: Law Students' union donates masks, PPE kits to frontline workers

PASIGHAT: The Siang District Law Students’ Union (SDLSU) applauded the COVID-19 Frontline Workers (FLW) of the Siang District and decided to donate facemasks, PPE kits and hand sanitizers to all health centers of the district during an executive meeting held recently.

By seeing the slow progress in terms of infrastructure development in the newly incepted Siang District, the union also resolved to thoroughly study the reasons or consequences in collaboration with District Administration and local MLA.

The Union express it anguish over the repeatedly wipeout of Siang District in the recent APSSB advertisement. However, the Union will pursue the matter with District Administration and assess what could be the reason so that no such discrimination comes in near future.

SDLSU also totally condemned on drug abuse cases in the district and requested every like-minded person, NGOs, PRI members to come forward and to eradicate it to have a better tomorrow. In this connection the union also resolved to organize series of awareness programmes legal issues like domestic violence, wildlife protection, drugs, education, women empowerment etc once the situation gets normal from current covid situation.

The union also appointed Mani Pabin as Chief Coordinator of the SDLSU while also appointing Olik Pabin and Taloh Tabing as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the health and other awareness programme.
