Arunachal Pradesh records 73 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hrs, tally at 17,186

ITANAGAR: At least 73 more people, including six security personnel, tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, which took the tally in the state to 17,186.

The death toll remained unchanged at 56.

As many as 26 new cases were reported from the Itanagar Capital Complex, 16 from Lower Dibang Valley, 14 from West Kameng, eight from Papumpare, three from East Kameng, two each from Lohit and Changlang and one each from Namsai and Pakke Kessang district.

Accordingly, the number of active patients in the state increased to 279.

Six army men are among the new patients.

The total number of recoveries rose to 16,851 after 16 more persons recuperated from the disease.

As many as 4,25,461 samples have been tested so far, including 2338 today.
