Arunachal Pradesh's 3 villages achieved 100% vaccination coverage

ITANAGAR: Two days after three villages from Nagaland receiving a special mention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, three other northeastern villages from Arunachal Pradesh achieved the same milestone.

Three villages namely Longo, New Tupi and Old Tupi from Arunachal Pradesh's Tirap district have reached the feat of 100 per cent vaccination coverage of all the people above 18 years.

The process held at two locations to ensure maximum vaccination coverage. Yesterday, a record 325 beneficiaries were inoculated with the first dose by Kapu PHC as reported.

A medical team led by Dr. Mibom Apum has vaccinated blind people and those who were unable to travel up to the vaccination centres at their homes.

Another team under Longo CO Ripi Doni has carried out house-to-house counseling to make people understand the importance of vaccination.
