Arunachal Pradesh’s COVID-19 tally rises to 19,634 with 222 fresh cases

ITANAGAR: The COVID-19 tally in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 19,634 as 222 more people tested positive for the disease over the past 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 62 were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex, 26 from Lower Dibang Valley, 19 from Namsai, 13 each from Lower Subansiri and Papumpare, 11 each from Lower Siang and West Kameng, 10 from East Siang, nine each from Anjaw, Changlang and Tawang, eight from Lohit, four from West Siang, six from Upper Subansiri, three each from Tirap and Dibang Valley, two from Leparada, and one each from Kra Daadi, East Kameng, Shi Yomi and Kamle districts respectively.

The positivity rate in the state currently stands at 9.46 per cent.

Arunachal now has 1,858 active cases while the death toll remained unchanged at 59.

The death rate stood at 0.30 per cent.

A total of 140 people recuperated from the disease yesterday taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 17,717. The recovery rate is 90.24 per cent.

Altogether, 4,62,703 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the state so far, including 3,459 yesterday.

A total of 68,578 persons have been fully inoculated in the state so far.
