Asaram Bapu tests COVID-19 positive, moved to ICU

JAIPUR: Self-styled godman Asaram Bapu (80), jailed for sexually assaulting one teenaged girl, has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at MG Hospital in Jodhpur, Rajasthan last night after testing positive for COVID-19.

Currently, Asaram Bapu has been put on ventilator support at the hospital, where he was admitted after complaining of distress in breathing and high fever.

As reported, Asaram Bapu’s condition is stable as of now after putting him up on ventilator support.

Meanwhile, Asaram Bapu’s followers gathered outside the hospital, continuously seeking an opportunity to sneak inside the hospital.

Two of his followers had already been detained and police also seized many of his followers’ vehicles for their unruliness.

Asaram Bapu tested positive two days back when his samples were collected from jail with other inmates.

Asaram Bapu’s court affidavits claim that he has many ailments and should be granted bail immediately. many have now demanded to move him to the AIIMS.
