Assam: 443 Grams of Suspected Drugs, Rs. 6 Lakh in Cash Recovered in Tinsukia's Lekhapani

Tinsukia, September 28, 2019:

A joint operation was launch by Lekhapani Police and Armed forces on Friday night following the information about storage and trafficking of suspected Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS), (kanii) in 2 No Bisagoan of Tinsukia district.

The joint team conducted a search operation at the house of a certain Jeevan Chetry, and seized 443 gms of suspected narcotic substances.

Moreover, the team also seized other items of measurement, weighing items and cash worth Rs. 6.6 lakh from the spot.

An FIR has been lodged at Lekhapani Police Station vide case no 131/19 and a case has been registered in relation to the case.
