Assam: 450 children tested positive in Dhubri district in last 3 months

As many as 450 children in the district of Dhubri have been infected with Covid-19 in its Second wave, raising a concern for all in the district.

DHUBRI: As many as 450 children in the district of Dhubri have been infected with COVID-19 since April 1 in its second wave, raising a concern for all in the district.

Talking to the media, Dr. Syed  Emdad Ullah, Joint Director of Health Dhubri said that the second wave subsided precautionary measures it must to resist a probable third wave. Covid-19 cases are on high rise, 450 minors have been tested positive in Dhubri district.

The third wave is likely to affect more children which have been warned by many experts earlier. On a random test 8 active cases are detected below 10 years, above 10 to 18 years number of active cases detected 27 which is creating a tense situation here at Dhubri District.

The most common symptoms are fever (50%) and cough (30%) followed by nausea or vomiting (10%) and diarrhea (10%). These may increase their risk of severe disease.

The majority of them are asymptomatic and only 1-2 per cent had to go for hospitalization.
