The All BTC Minority Students Union(ABMSU) has accused Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP and president of Gana Suraksha Party(GSP) Naba Kumar Sarania(Heera)  totally failed to take care and fulfilment hopes and aspirations of the common masses who had put promises during the Parliamentary elections in the area. The students union slammed state government and chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal for not initiating for a strict investigation into Lafikul Islam Ahmed, former president of ABMSU murder case in Kokrajhar.

Addressing the reporters at a Press Conference here today at Kokrajhar Press Club, ABMSU president Asraful Islam and General Secretary Taison Hussain alleged that the ABMSU and several community organisations extended support and voted to elect Sarania as MP  in 2014 & 2019 Lok Sabha Parliamentary elections, but later Sarania after elected MP,he has forgotten all promises and supports of the common masses who had worked for him in his political career till today. They criticised Sarania for his self centric political aspects and accordingly he has worked nothing for the common citizens in his MP tenures.

The ABMSU leaders slamming the state government and district administration for not showing strong interest to make a proper investigation into Lafikul Islam Ahmed, former president of ABMSU murder case. They alleged that although three years is passing of the Lafikul murder case, yet no one was made arrested till today as SIT had carried out an investigation and later state government handed over to the CBI to investigate the murder case. Notably, Lafikul was murdered by unidentified armed miscreants on August 1(2017) at Titaguri Bazar along the JD Road in Kokrajhar district.

ABMSU leaders accused of state government and chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal never want welfare and development of the minority peoples and that is why CBI investigation’s reports published has been delayed till today.

They have demanded proper CBI  investigation into Lafikul murder case and publih the investigation reports publicly as government had goiven commitment for proper investigation into the murder case.

‘Even CBI was handed over from Govt to make an investigation, but no one was arrested as well as reports were made publicly till date’,they said.

ABMSU leaders also said that minority peoples are deprived from frontal rights including welfare and development, safety and security in the BTAD region due to insincerity attitudes from council administration and state government.

They have blamed that the BPF ruled BTAD administration has failed to extend services and welfare towards all sections of the society of which the common masses are still remaining far from the welfare and development aspects.

“ Minority peoples are not getting equal opportunity and status due to the insincerity from ruling party in BTAD administration.Minority community would not be allowed as vote bank in the elections. We will take strong decision before supporting to any party or candidates in the upcoming council elections", ABMSU leaders added.
