Assam: Aged women trampled to death by wild elephant in Goalpara

GOALPARA: An aged woman on Friday was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Goalpara district

The woman named Tilottoma Ray, aged 70, was killed by a wild elephant at Korkuchi, Dohela under Dudhnoi Police Station at around 7 AM today morning.

Divisional Forest Officer, Goalpara, Jitendra Kumar informed that the dead body has been taken for post mortem and necessary legal formalities are going on for sanction of ex gratia to the next of kin of the deceased.
