Assam: All govt institute teachers to undergo COVID-19 tests from 21-30 August

State Education Minister in a press conference cleared the confusion regarding the fee waiver in private schools, also announced increasing seats in colleges and plans to formulate the National Education Policy in Assam.

Assam Govt has ordered 25% extension of seats in all colleges for Under Graduation Courses. This will be only for AHSEC students/Assam State Board’s students.

CBSE has given projected marks, for using many seats were gained by only CBSE students. So far, 150 teachers taken for a 1000 hall and celebrate teachers day.

Another committee formed of eminent educationalist to formulate NEP in Assam. Following 21 to 30th August, teachers, the staff of the university to primary school will undergo COVID19 test. By 1 September, all staff and teachers will have to resume work, remain stand-by. Assam is also waiting for National Recommendations for the reopening of schools.

"If any schools are not waiving 25% fee, legal complaints should be filed", the Health Minister cleared.
