Assam BJP MLA Shiladitya Dev resigns from party over lack of decision autonomy

Shiladitya Dev is set to resign from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 14th July ahead of Assam Legislative Assembly elections, 2021. As per a source contacting Inside Northeast, claims that the party ideology of the BJP has been compromised and many people have to be consulted first before taking a decision in the party. He also revealed that a particular politician in Guwahati has been the key person who has led Shiladitya to take the decision. Sources close to Shiladiya reveal the person is BJP leader Phani Sharma.

Shiladitya Dev is an Indian politician. He is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2016 from Hojai constituency.

Earlier, Dev has been under severe controversy with his comments.
