Assam BJP Stages All-Women Bike Rally to Launch 'Mission 100' Campaign

With an aim of securing at least 100 seats in the ensuing elections in 2021, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday launched its 'Mission 100' in Samuguri in Nagaon district of Assam.

Ranjeet Dass, the President of Assam BJP unit, has opined that the BJP party is looking to assert its dominance in the political hemisphere of Assam by winning at least 100 seats, and the campaign has been kickstarted today at an event organized by the Samuguri Mahila Morcha.

"Wherever there is girl power, victory is certain. In times to come, we are launching a campaign . There was a time when we only had 4-5 MLA and we formed the Government. Later, we had 2 MPs and we we were able to form the Government", Dass said, adding that the word defeat is out of question for the BJP party.

One of the locals, talking to the media, said that the women would unite to ensure the defeat of the Congress MLA, Rockybul and invoked Mula Gabhoru, the freedom fighter, to express their resolve.

The launching of the BJP's campaign to win 100 seats in Samuguri gains added significance as the Constituency is represented by Rockybul Hussain, a former Minister in the Tarun Gogoi-led Congress cabinet.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Anil Saikia also said that Rockybul Hussain would be defeated in his home fortress of Samuguri and hundreds of women have come out today to vanquish the BJP's foe.
