Assam CM says BJP can produce 26 litres milk per day; Congress sends fodder as assistance

GUWAHATI: The political jibes take an interesting turn aggravating the thrill as the polls reach closer in Assam.

Responding to Chief Minister's remark of BJP producing 26 litres of milk per day, Congress on Friday has sent 4kg of grass seed as assistance to the ruling party.

In letters addressed to BJP and UPPL president Bhabesh Kalita and Pramod Boro respectively, Leader of Opposition Debabrata Saikia wrote, "In response to the appeal made by Chief Minister at Gossaigaon and Thowra constituency, We are sending an assistance of 4kg of grass seed to the MLA and BJP President Bhaskar Kalita along UPPL President Pramod Boro".

Digging deeper, Saikia further appealed to the well-wishers of the state to send similar assistance to the saffron clan and UPPL.

"We hope that the seed will be put to good use so that your party members can feed on the grass and produce 26 litres per days so that each and every household not only gets enough milk to drink but can also make 'kheer' from the remaining milk", Saikia added.

This comes after Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the one should always buy a cow that gives milk thereby saying that BJP can produce 26 litres of milk per day.

“Congress has no government in the state so no milk can be produced, Raijor Dal’s Government is nowhere to be found so no matter how hard you milk, you will not get anything. On the other hand, you can get 26 litres of milk by milking BJP”, CM Sarma had said.
