Assam: Dhubri couple murdered by a group of ‘Dakoit’ in front their only child

DHUBRI: An unidentified group of Dakoit (robbers) killed a couple in Dhubri in front of their 9-year-old son and looted gold ornaments, cash any many more.

The heartbreaking incident took place last night at Laxmiganj Paikandara’s 2nd block village under the Bilasipara subdivision in Dhubri district of Assam.

The deceased has been identified as Zakir Hussain and his wife Asma Begum.

The 9-year-old said a group of four or five Dakoit entered their house by breaking the window. After entering the house, the dakoits first killed his father and mother in front of him and looted cash along with gold ornaments.

The sacred child dashed outside, and the dakoits flee from the scene.

A team of police rushed to the spot as soon as they got the information and started an investigation.

The bodies had been sent to Dhubri Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Zakir was a science teacher in the profession and Asma was a nurse at a government health center.

Locals requested that the government arrest the perpetrator as soon as possible and sentence him to death.
