Assam: Dry day declared in Guwahati, Bars and liquor shop to remain closed today

GUWAHATI: The Assam Excise Department has declared a dry day in Guwahati today on the occasion of Vijayadashami.

Bars and alcohol shops will be closed in view of the Dashami celebrations.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner, Pallav Gopal Jha, declared October 14, October 15, the day of Vijaya Dashami as dry days till the immersion of Durga idol is completed.
