GUWAHATI: The 67 Bn Border Security Force under the aegis of Guwahati frontier has apprehended two Indian racketeers of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) yesterday.
According to BSF's official statement, acting on a tip-off, BSF troops of Border outpost (BOP) Tistapara carried out a special operation in the general area of village Baladova in Dhubri district of Assam close Indo-Bangladesh border from where the FICN racketeers were apprehended.

Racketeers were caught along with FICN having a face value of Rs 2,00,000.
The consignment was supposed to be smuggled from Bangladesh to India, informed BSF.
The two apprehended racketeers, Hussain Ali and Muslimudding Hoque, are residents of the Dhubri district itself.
FICN racketeers were handed over to Dhubri Police Station along with seized FICN for further legal proceedings.
