Police in Kokrajhar has apprehended eight persons who were involved with Ultapani forest office stormed and vandalized on Monday which had left massive damaged and loss of properties in the mob vandalization.

Police starred it's investigation into incident and accordingly arrested eight persons just after an FIR was lodged with police into incident. The case registered with police,csse no.453/20,under section 143/447/448/353/336/427/379 IPC.

The apprehended persons were hailed from No.2 Ultapani village in Kokrajhar district. Arrested were identified as Betal Basumatary(19),Jarang Narzary(26),Manoj Basumatary(35),Bisinta Basumatary(33),Ranjit Basumatary(36),Birsen Basumatary(25),Ranbir Basumatary(35) and Ramesh Tirky(34) of No.2 Ultapani village.


Meanwhile,Assam Social welfare minister Pramila Rani Brahma expresses serious concern over the Ultapani forest office vandalization.
