Assam: Fake currency racket busted, four apprehended

Guwahati: The Assam police on Sunday busted a fake currency racket in Guwahati.

Reportedly, The Crime Branch of Assam Police launched an operation and arrested four members of the fake currency group from the Panjabari area.

The apprehended people have been identified as Nazrul Hassan, Afzalur Rahman, Nizamuddin and Hamid Ali. The four have been operating fake currency business from a rented house in Punjabari.

The officials have recovered a fake Indian currency printing machine and a total of fake 10 lakh Rupees in cash.

A case has been registered against the four and the Guwahati police are currently investigating the case.
