Assam Govt appoints Martyr Basumatary’s daughter Tourism Officer

Guwahati, March 4, 2019:

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday handed over a letter of appointment to Dwidmsri Basumatary, the daughter of Pulwama martyr Moneswar Basumatary during the occasion of his ‘Adya Shraddha’ today. Didwmsri Basumatary has been handed the post of Assistant Tourist Information Officer under Directorate of Tourism, Assam

BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary and Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary were also present during the ‘shraddh’, which was attended by over 10,000 people at Basumatary’s residence at Tamulpur.

Rajya Sabha MP Daimary, addressing the media during the occasion, said: “Looking at the condition of this household and thinking about the future of the children, the Assam Government has handed the appointment letter of Assistant Tourist Information Officer to Basumatary’s daughter.”
