Assam govt extends restrictions under partial lockdown, shops and establishment to be closed by 11 AM

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has issued a revised set of guidelines today in pursuance of the guidelines relaesed on May 12 to contain the surge of Covid-19.

It has extended the curfew hours by 2 hours which to come into force from 5 AM of May 16 until further orders.

The issued order stated, all shops and commercial establishments shall shut down at 11 AM on all days. Previously all shops and commercial establishments were allowed to keep open till 1 pm.

All private vehicles only to be allowed to ply in accordance with an odd- even formula to be decided by the jurisdictional District Disaster Management Authority between 5AM to 12 noon.

There will be an exemption to the order for the personal vehicles used for medical emergencies.

A complete ban on movement of individuals from 12 noon to 5 AM daily.

Other restrictions to be continue as per mentioned in the previous guidelines except for the modification of the time.
