Assam reported a total of 41 COVID-19 cases on June 30th, 2020 taking the state’s total to 7835. Out of the 44 cases, 18 Sonitpur, 6 Jorhat, 5 Kamrup(M), 3 L'pur, 3 Nagaon, 3 Barpeta, 2 K Anglong, 1 Dhemaji
Of the 7835 cases, 2488 are active cases while 5333 have been cured and discharged and 11 died due to the infection in the state so far. Guwahati alone reported a surge of 172 cases on June 29th, 2020.
Informing this, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:
Out of total 7835 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 2488 are active cases and 5333 have been cured and discharged while 11 died due to the infection so far.
Assam has crossed the 1000-mark in 60 days. It reported the first case on March 31st, 2020. It recorded 102 cases on June 19th.

Assam has the highest COVID-19 cases in the Northeast India followed by Tripura.

India recorded the highest-ever daily spike of 18,522 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the total tally to 5.66 lakh. The death toll is now 16,893, as per data released by the Union Health Ministry. Active cases in India stand at 2,15,125 while 3,34,822 have been cured or discharged so far.
Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 6 thousand deaths. It has recorded 169883 corona cases with 88960 cured, 7610 deaths, and 73313 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 85161 cases with 56235 cured, 2680 deaths, and 26246 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 86224 positive cases with 47749 cured, 1141 deaths 37334 active cases. Gujarat with 31938 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 23240 have been cured, 1827 deaths, and 6871 active cases.
