DHUBRI: The district administrator of Dhubri is worried about the new variant of Covid-19, following which the vaccination of Covid-19 should be made mandatory for every person in the district within 10th of December.

The 'Har-ghar Dastak' Covid-19 inoculation campaign to increase vaccination coverage which started from Monday onwards. The district administration is worried that 4,745 peoples of Dhubri's 10.99 lakh population are not yet jabbed.

The substandard situation was disclosed by the district deputy commissioner, Anbamuthan MP in a press meet at the conference hall of the district commissioners office premises.

The border district of Dhubri has been divided into 7 zone, 136 sectors and 373 polling stations and which will be undertaken randomly on a surprise checks of the polling stations falling within the area to provide Covid-19 vaccination drive a success from Monday onwards.

Meanwhile, more or less than 30,000 people are still refraining from taking Covid-19 vaccines in phases of the district for the second dos and to ensure that the district administration widens its Covid-19 vaccination coverage by the end of the year and enters the new year with renewed self-belief and confidence.

The press meet was attended by a joint secretary of the state government as well as the district administration chief officials and health department officials of Dhubri taking effective steps for the protection of every countrymen from Corona.
