He retold the dark atmosphere of CAA during December in 2019 and the sequence of events that motivated his decision. "During CAA everyone was emotional. We also heard the news that Trucks with Bangladeshi are coming to Assam but with time we understood with what happened.

Jatin Bora raised the issue of how the lockdown has impacted the film world. "The current scenario during lockdown is that all artist are suffering especially the technicians. I don't want to be a minister yet want to do something for them. CM Sarbananda has helped in our attempts. Earlier, on December 9 we were planning to revamp Jonaki Cinema Hall in December but CAA protests started and in December 8 I was attacked for being with BJP".

"After 40years BJP has given permission for film policy and we have been capable of providing financial assistance to artists with things like a monthly pension. I believe PM Modi and CM Sonowal will never do anything against Assamese culture. I have been in BJP earlier, now and will remain in future", concluded Jatin Bora.
