Assam: Khalsa centre constructs LP School for children of remote Tengaguri

If the waters of mighty Brahmaputra are strong enough to consume entire school of kids of Dakhin Tengaguri, human will to reconstruct is stronger than that and the handing over of a completely new building of Dakhin Tengaguri New LP School in Morigaon district of Assam by the team of KHALSA CENTRE NORTH EAST to Kamal Jyoti Gogoi. Morigaon DEEO on Sunday is a clear example of that, stated Capt PP Singh Chairman Khalsa Centre while handing over the building.

Capt PP Singh, Chairman KHALSA CENTRE NORTH EAST addressing the large gathering at the function organised jointly by them, the villagers and the district administration stated that they have been able to construct this brand new RCC building for the school due to inspiration and cooperation of district administration specially the earlier DC Rituraj Bora and the DEEO Kamal Jyoti Gogoi besides the villagers and Chairman of the School Management Committee, which is a perfect example of development not just for all but Development by All members of society.

The Chairman said our team worked hard with support from people like Sanjeev Garodia of Garodia Constructions, Subhash Aggarwal of NEZONE group, Subhash Kejriwal of Steel House, Saurav Aggarwal of Dyna roof and Shri PC Sharma and members of Assam Pharmaceutical Association and thanked them for helping and encouraging us.

Capt Singh said, though they are based in Guwahati which is more than 100 kms from there, their team made more than 15 trips to the school from the beginning and it was possible only with the help of a vehicle given to them by Airport Authority of India under their CSR programme, similarly if more corporate houses join hands with them, KHALSA CENTRE will ensure that no one sleeps hungry in the region under their project of FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER.

PP Singh, a senior journalist who has been heading this organization for the last three years informed that during lockdown they provided hot meals to more than three lakh people in 66 days at 70 different locations of Kamrup district informed that their aim is to setup a Community Kitchen in Guwahati where hundreds of people sleep in open even on extreme cold and give them food, for this they have asked for land from the state government but it is over six months still no news.

Narinder Singh and Jaswinder Singh Vice presidents of KCNE explained other activites they are doing including helping the needy poor kids with education funds, weekly Langar at Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, running a Blood Donation group as the city has large number of hospitals but few donors. They also called upon people from all religions and etnic groups to join Khalsa Centre and serve humanity.
