Assam: Depressed teacher commits suicide after being posted in LP school

BOKO: A 52 years old tutorial teacher in Boko, Assam has allegedly committed suicide today by hanging himself.

The incident took place in Nuwapara area in Boko.

It has been said that Hiren Kalita was depressed since February 5 after he was recently appointed in a Lower Primary (LP) school.

The 52 years old teacher was appointed in a LP school in Bahjani, Kandalpara by the education department of Assam.

He was earlier teaching in Kandalpara Sawrbapali Radhakrishna Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Moral Education (ME) school where he was serving without salary over the past 15 years. He was a science teacher at the school.
