Katlicherra MLA Suzam Uddin Laskar expressed “dissatisfaction” and alleged that despite being a small state, Mizoram continues to occupy land and even issue land pattas, whereas the Assam government has failed so far to save its forestlands in the border.

Meanwhile, police and district administration authorities of both states reached the site of the incident to take stock of the situation.

Investigations are underway and more information is awaited.
