Assam paper mill workers stage protest in Jagiroad

Guwahati, December 25:

The workers’ unions of Nagaon and Cachar paper mills on Tuesday staged a protest at National Highway (NH)-37 at Jagiroad in Morigaon demanding payment of the pending salaries and revival of the mills in Assam.

The protestors demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prove his “love” for the Assam.

It may be mentioned that the employees of both the mills did not receive their salaries and any other benefits for last 22-23 months.
