Assam Police apprehends 8 gamblers in Margherita

Under the Strict Supervision of Margherita Sub Divisional Police officer Partho Pratim Das (IPS) on Wednesday night Margherita Police Station Sub Inspector Satyabrata Pegu and other Staffs apprehended 8 people in connection with Gambling from a rented house situated at Hill View Margherita under Tinsukia District.

MARGHERITA: Under the Strict Supervision of Margherita Sub Divisional Police officer Partho Pratim Das (IPS) on Wednesday night Margherita Police Station Sub Inspector Satyabrata Pegu and other Staffs apprehended 8 people in connection with Gambling from a rented house situated at Hill View Margherita under Tinsukia District.

The apprehended people have been identified as Ujjal Sutradhar aka Poochu, Pranjit Konwar aka Junti, Pilpil Kalita, Dodomoni Konwar, Pintu Hussain,Margherita Police Station Constable Das and Bachu Dey.

All apprehended Gamblers hails from Margherita Region.Margherita Police found Rs 89,000 cash amount including Gambling materials from the apprehended Gamblers possession.

A case has been registered at Margherita Police Station 275/21 US 14/15 AG&B Act and all have been send to Judicial custody.

Further investigation underway.
