Assam Police apprehends man for stealing 16 Litres of mustard oil

GUWAHATI: The Assam police on Sunday apprehended a man for allegedly stealing 16 litres of mustard oil as he was facing crisis due to rise in prices of edible oil.

The accused has been identified as Devashish Dey. The Hojai police arrested him after a complaint was filed against him by a shopkeeper at Lalpatti Bazar in Hojai.

The police also found that the mam was stocking essential goods supply.

The accused is currently under police custody.

Further investigation underway.
