Assam Police apprehends two drug peddlers from Digboi

MARGHERITA: In a Joint operation led by Margherita Sub Divisional Officer Partho Pratim Das(IPS), Digboi Police station officer in charge and 18 Garwal Indian Army on Thursday night apprehended two notorious Drugs peddler from Tingrai between Digboi and Doomdooma highway.

The team recovered a total of five soaps containing 61 grams of Suspected heroin were recovered from apprehended drugs peddler.

The apprehended drugs peddler has been identified as Raju Banerjee and Faizul Islam both resident of Bokajan Karbi Anglong.

The total value of seized Heroin is Rs 2.5 Lakhs. A case has been registered at Digboi police station Case Number 377/2021 US 21(b) of NDPS Act while both of them has been send to judicial custody.

Further investigation underway.
