Assam Police apprehends two drug peddlers with illicit contraband tablets in Dhubri

DHUBRI: The Dhubri Police apprehended Veteran drug peddlers with illicit contraband tablets.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by district Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dipankar Dutta Lahkar raided the residence of drug dealer Sharif Ahmed of Bidyapara, Ward No-8 in Dhubri suburbs at midnight.

The drug peddlers have been  identified as Sharif Ahmed and Arif Ahmed, along with a huge quantity of illicit contraband tablets.

Police unit had siezed 173 numbers of Pyeevon Spas, 108 numbers of Nitrosun 10 addictive tablets, 33 numbers of Paractin, 30 numbers of Deka el, rupees 9730 cash and 1 mobile handset from the possession of the accused.

Case have been registered against both the accused persons under NDPS Act, informed, Dipankar Dutta Lahkar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Special Branch Dhubri.
