Assam police arrests youth who tried to rape his own sister in law

MARGHERITA: Margherita Police station officer in charge Someswar Konwar on Wednesday morning arrested one youth from Namdang Colliery under Margherita Police station after he tried to rape his own Sister in law.

According to sources One Dipak Thapa(29) son of Gyan Bahadur Thapa whose sister in law came at his house for family purpose unfortunately noboby no was present at the house which the accused Dipak Thapa tried to rape her.

The victim screamed loudly which nearby people gathered at the house and beat him black and blue. After that Village Defence party call Margherita Police which the accused was taken to Margherita Police station.

The victim was send to Margherita Civil Hospital for medical check up. A case Number 290/2021 US 376/511 IPC has been registered at Margherita Police station where Dipak Thapa has been send to judicial custody till filling of this report.
