ASSAM RANJI TEAM ANNOUNCED

Guwahati, October 27, 2018:

The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has announced the State team for the domestic first-class cricket championship ‘Ranji Trophy’, which will start from November 1.

The 2018-19 ‘Ranji Trophy’ is scheduled to be the 85th season of the tournament.

The tournament currently consists of 37 teams, with all 29 states in India and two of the seven union territories having at least one representation.

The tournament will have four groups, with nine teams each in Groups A and B, and ten teams in Group C.

All the new teams will be placed in the Plate Group. The top two teams from Group C and the top team in the Plate Group will progress to the quarter-finals of the tournament, along with five teams from Groups A and B.
