Assam: Religious Minority Council of BTC extends support to UPPL for 3rd phase of polls

TAMULPUR: All BTC Religious Minority Council, an influential organization in the Bodo-dominated belt, today threw its weight behind the Promod Boro-led United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) for the third and final phase of polling in Assam.

Abdul Awal Mandal, President the of Central Committee, said that the organization chosen made the endorsement because the Hagrama Mohilary led BPF betrayed the community in the last 17 years and failed to fulfill his promises to the electorate.

He further stated that the organization shall extend its support to the Pramod Boro-led UPPL “for the greater interest of minorities living in the BTC region.”

He also asked religious minority voters to cast their votes in favor of the UPPL candidate.
