Assam reports 245 fresh COVID-19 cases, 1 death over 24 hours

GUWAHATI: Assam's COVID-19 tally increased to 2,19,272 as 245 more people tested positive for the virus, while one new fatality brought the death toll to 1,112.

According to the bulletin issued by the National Health Mission (NHM), the state currently has 1,023 active cases, while 2,15,790 people have recovered from the illness, including 68 patients on Thursday.

According to report, the COVID-19 recovery rate in Assam is 98.41%.

The state has screened 73,55,468 samples for COVID-19, including 22,888 on Thursday.

According to the bulletin, a total of 11,80,792 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine across the state, with 2,23,047 receiving the second dose.
