ASSAM: STOP RANDOM ISSUE OF FOREIGNER NOTICES: AAMSU

17 July 2918:

A Memorandum was submitted to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh by the Kokrajhar District Committee of All Assam Minorities Students’ Union (AAMSU) to direct the Border Branch of Assam police to refrain from issuing foreigners notice arbitrarily to genuine Indian citizens. The Kokrajhar District Committee has announced for twelve-hour bandh on 18th July 2018 on this regard.

In the memorandum the AAMSU demanded the Home Minister that the Border branch that is issuing notices randomly to purported foreigners without inquiry it creates in harassment among genuine Indian citizens should be refrained from issuing random notices and to stop harassing genuine Indian citizens.
